This is an extension to the ground floor of an end-of-terrace in Edinburgh's leafy Inverleith. The pitched roof form of the new building mirrors the roof of an existing outshot in order to create a lofty and bright living space directly addressing the garden.
Roof glazing is carefully positioned to ensure maximum light gets deep into the plan and good connectivity is provided to the existing, period drawing room to provide the optimum balance of new and old.
The period rooms of the original house will be refurbished and new batthrooms and services provided as part of this project which will go on site in 2023.
